Can anyone tell me how to persist a session across both http and https requests when the requests are being issued by an older (e.g. Netscape 4.79) browser? I have been asked to set up a session management scheme that will solve this problem - and I don't see a way. I wrote a toy web app that demonstrates the problem but only if the browser is old - newer browsers work the way we want. Older Netscape browsers include the port number to identify the server the cookie comes from, and they treat a.domain:8080 (for instance) as different from a.domain:8443 Thanks, George McKinney    More>>
