I'm using value objects to exchange data between web application (.war) and EJBs (.jar). Those .war and .jar are packed together into .ear, but the question is - where value object classes should go? They are part of interface, that is - they are referred to by both web application classes and EJBs. How should I pack those objects to ensure there would be no classloader problems, etc. etc. Any practical example is good enough.

You always pack the value objects into a vo.jar file, and then add the vo.jar to the .ear file. Reference the vo.jar in the Class-Paths (in META-INF/MANIFEST.MF) of both the EJB .jar and Web .war files.
