Hi,

I'm trying to write a piece of code to find all available drives and directories on a network and I just don't seem to be able to get the file object to do what I want (i.e. anything).

Any help appreciated.

thanks in advance,

MAD.

You can only get the list of mounted file systems using the file object. On unix the / will be the onlt file returned by File.listRoots() on windows this method will probably return A: C: and D: and any other mounted file systems. It actually sounds like you want to scan the network to find resources.
