What is the actual value of 9.4E-4
9.4E-4 is an actual value, it's just a different notation.
Basicly the E stands for ".. multiply by to the power of ..". It is a notation how far to move the point. In your example of 9.4E-4, this could also be written (assuming you're using base-10) 9.4 x 10-4. Move the point four digits to the left to give the number in a much less convenient notation: 0.00094 .
