I would like to implement the same kind of HTML checker (check the nesting of tags, authorized tags .etc..) the same way Jguru forum does when we post a question (have you noticed that we can put HTML tags in the posts? and that the validation tiers re-display the page showing error messages in case we don't nest those html tags correctly?) I was thinking maybe somthing already exists off the shelf that I could use?

W3 provides a tool called HTML Tidy, which I see has now been moved to the SourceForge. Ah, and it looks like there is jTidy as well.

I don't know what jGuru uses for validation.
