SendFailedException when I have a "to" address not within organisation

I use the simplest java code example at http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/onlineTraining/JavaMail/exercises/MailSending/.
Usage of that is :

java MailExample "host" "from" "to"

If "from" and "to" are within the organisation then the message goes out fine. If "to" is say me@yahoo.com or me@hotmail.com then it I get :-

javax.mail.SendFailedException:Invalid Addresses

javax.mail.SendFailedException: 500 Relaying denied



What can be done so that I can email outside the organisation?

It is very likely that your mail server need authentication when sending e-mail outside local domain.
