I am a new user of Jbuilder, I installed JBuilder 8 Enterprise Edition but I can´t compile anything, included borland examples, JBuilder can´t found the basic java classes. For example, to compile WellcomeApp (Borland Example) Jbuilder show the following message: "WelcomeApp.java": Error #: 750 : initialization error: com.borland.compiler.symtab.LoadError: java.io.IOException: class not found: class java.lang.Object

The examples in JBuilders are just java source files and classes. What you have to do is to create a new project from the existing code. How do you do it? easy.

- Click on new project

- Choose Project tab

- Click on [create project for existing code]

- choose the right folder where java files are sitting.

- choose proper name for the project

- click next

- click finish

- click on menu Project | Rebuild Project

- right click on the main java(Runnable) file and choose run

- you are done
