We have a EJB running in JBoss 2.4.6 that posts messages to a SwiftMQ Queue, by direct lookup of the QueueConnectionFactory in the SwiftMQ JNDI. This way, the Session obviosly is not XA, the JMS message is sent even if the EJB transaction is rolled back.

I understand we need to use a XA JMS ConnectionFactory to create the JMS session in the EJB, but found no docs on how to setup JBoss/SwiftMQ accordingly. The Docs only state how to setup SwiftMQ for MDBs in JBoss.

Thanks,

Ulf

To participate in XA for outbound messaging you'd have to use JBoss' JMS resource adapter. It takes care of enlisting at the TM and the like. You have to check the JBoss docs for that.
