This is my first Tomcat installation. I am installing it one Windows 98, I have jdk1.3.1, and I cannot get it to run. Initially, my autoexec settings were: SET PATH=%PATH%C:WINDOWSTwain_32Scanwiz;C:WINDOWSTwainScanwiz;C:jdk1.3.1; SET CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%C:jdk1.3.1 in; When I ran startup.bat, I got the message: "You must set JAVA_HOME to point to your jdk root directory" (or something like that). So I added the following to the autoexec: SET JAVA_HOME=%JAVA_HOME%c:/jdk1.3.1; When I attempted to run Tomcat I then got the message: Starting Tomcat in new window Bad command or file name    More>>

This is my first Tomcat installation. I am installing it one Windows 98, I have jdk1.3.1, and I cannot get it to run.

Initially, my autoexec settings were:

SET PATH=%PATH%C:WINDOWSTwain_32Scanwiz;C:WINDOWSTwainScanwiz;C:jdk1.3.1;

SET CLASSPATH=%CLASSPATH%C:jdk1.3.1 in;

When I ran startup.bat, I got the message: "You must set JAVA_HOME to point to your jdk root directory" (or something like that).

So I added the following to the autoexec:

SET JAVA_HOME=%JAVA_HOME%c:/jdk1.3.1;

When I attempted to run Tomcat I then got the message:

Starting Tomcat in new window

Bad command or file name

Any thoughts?

Thanks, in advance.
