I have index.html which defines the frames i.e. top, right, bottom and content.

I would like to invoke the web page from the URL in this manner:

http://www.frusco.notworking/index.html?dragonblake

and have dragonblake move into a form field in bottom.html

I would appreciate all help in this matter as I am very new with java script.

See thsi thread for extracting query parameter (click here) you can use this to extract the paramter value and then set it to any form element using document.formname.elementname.value=the value;

PS the queryparams should eb ideally passed as a name value pair like http://www.frusco.notworking/index.html?me=dragonblake
