I'm trying a free JMX implementation to monitor the health of the Java virtual machine as well as manage certain run-time controls characteristics management(threads active, used memory, statistics garbage collector, and other).

Exists something?

Dear Andrea Beda,

What you are looking for may not be available now (as far as I know).

But there is an JSR dedicated for this called "JSR-174 Monitoring and Management
Specification for the JavaTM Virtual Machine(for more details refer href="http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=174">http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=174)".
This is expected to be implemented in J2SE 1.5 (code named Tiger), which
also includes JMX in J2SE itself.

Regards,

Jayakumar .G
