What is caching in transactions and how can we maintain it?

P K,

Whenever you access the database with an entity bean, the row from the database table is copied into the entity bean. If you access the same entity bean within the same transaction again, the app server will access the entity bean in memory rather than going to database.

This is handled automatically by your app server. But depending on your app server, you can turn off this behaviour.

That's the executive summary but the devil is in the details. ;-)
