Is it possible, in Netscape, to learn either of the following: 1. What text, if any, is selected within a or other form element. 2. Where the insertion point is currently located in a or other input element. Netscape provides a getSelection() method which returns the current selection ON THE PAGE, but it doesn't apply to form elements. There's also the onSelect() event which lets you know when a selection has been made within a form element, but provides no way (as far as I can tell) to determine which text has been selected. All of this is possible in IE, but we're coding a cross browser application and hate to short-change Netscape users. Any suggestions?
