Is there a way to add a root element to XML Document(org.w3c.dom.Document) ? The result should be an XML Document with a new root element.

This is my guess.


What you meant is actually change the name of root element, not switch the entire document contents with the only exceptions of XML decl and Document level PI/comments.


If I were wrong, then write a new document would be much easier.
