Slow card reader unable to read java card

Currently i m using a gemplus410 card reader however its unable read a java card. Since the normal card's answer to reset speed is slower than that of a java card.

Is there any way of improving the speed besides buying a new one??

I m open to suggestions and solutions thanx.

What do you mean by "normal card" ?

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers for the 410 ?
