How to create a well formated mail message?

With the content type: text/html, I am unable to do some very basic email text formating such as " " or "
".


I know the Pet Store provides a solution of the problem. But it is too complex (and slow as a result) for my purpose.

XML or HMTL format will be fine in my case.

tabs and new lines are considered white space and are treated as such. To do a
, just do a
or

. For tabs, you'll need to either use a table or non-breaking spaces.
