when i tried to make connection to my pop3 mail using the JavaMailServlet.java in the demo directory, and after canging the protocol to pop3 instead of imap, i got the following exception
javax.mail.MessagingException: Connect failed; nested exception is: java.net.NoRouteToHostException: No route to host: connect

my computer is connected to the internet througth a proxy which uses Dial-up connection.

Are you saying it worked through proxy to IMAP but not to POP? Getting through a proxy has already been discussed a few times in the forums and FAQ. Check some of the older posts...
