What is the best way to send messages to a persistent Java application from a servlet? I have some servlets I would like to be used as a web entry point into a persistent Java application. I know that TCP communication is one way. What about JMS or SAAJ? These messages will not be very large nor complex. Which means of communication is the best for this?

thanks.

JMS is a good solution. Fits well with J2EE app development and quite scalable
