You can extract the 3D classes and include them in jour own JAR. It is also possible to use an alternative (Open source) 3D package, there are a lot of 3D packages. Some do not use DirectX or OpenGL but if I saw examples of 3D packages writen in pure Java that work like lightning. Look here for demos. Or look here.
