I have a domain called galaxycareers.com

The instructions provided by lunarpages(hosting it) is:

Your new account offers POP3 and SMTP access.

POP3 Mail Host: mars.lunarpages.com

SMTP Mail Host: mars.lunarpages.com

I want to send to an email address a forgotten password,

but i'm getting the following error:

javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed;

nested exception is:

class javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid
Addresses;

nested exception is:

class javax.mail.SendFailedException: 550-Host
mars.lunarpages.com [66.250.155.30] is not permitted

550-to relay through mars.lunarpages.com.

550-Perhaps you have not logged into the pop/imap
server in the last 30 minutes.

550-You may also have been rejected because your ip
address

550-does not have a reverse DNS entry.

550 relaying to prohibited by
administrator

I emailed them and this was their answer :

In order to send mail using our servers, weather via a
script, or via the normal method, we require you to
authenticate using the same username and password that
you use to receive email. Have you set your script up
to use a username/password? Please note that if you
have created an email account in your cpanel in the
add/remove accounts section, you need to use the full
email address includeing the @ symbol for the username.

The 'to' address is blus113@yahoo.com and the 'from' is
administrator@galaxycareers.com which is correct since
I've already created it.

This is my java code for mail sending:

java.util.Properties properties = System.getProperties

();

properties.put("mail.smtp.host", "mars.lunarpages.com");

Session session = Session.getInstance(properties, null);

MimeMessage message = new MimeMessage(session);

message.setFrom(new InternetAddress

("administrator@galaxycareers.com"));

//...added here subject and text

Transport.send(message);

They said that i have to authenticate. I don't know how to
do that...

Please give me a solution to this problem.

Thank you for your time and dedication.

Best wishes,

Andrew

Search JavaMail FAQ's for "authenticate smtp".
