I have two applications with same security policy, both of them use form-based authenication ,but when one application attempt to access another, the login form appear again for re-authentication,is there any way to config tomcat 4.0.4 to track authentication information
at the container level (rather than at the web application level)?
thanks for any help.
regards.

In the server.xml file there is an entry that you have to uncomment.

This is the comment that is in the server.xml file

Normally, users must authenticate themselves to each web
app individually. Uncomment the following entry if you
would like a user to be authenticated the first time they
encounter a resource protected by a security constraint,
and then have that user identity maintained across
*all* web applications contained in this virtual host.

Hope this helps!
