Now I downloaded TOMCAT 4.1 and JDK 1.4.1 and I execute the following command: export JAVA_HOME = /usr/lib/jdk1.3 export CATALINA_HOME = /opt/jakarta But it doesn't work it gives me the following error: bash:export: '=': not a valid identifier I install tomcat 4.1 in another PC. I'm not sure because i have not found nothing in documentation of tomcat 4, but can be not collaborate well Tomcat 4 with jdk 1.3.

Try to use jdk 1.4. I've tried and it goes. And it's faster than tomcat 3.3 with jdk 1.4. Very faster
