What happens if two clients register a durable subscription with the same ID?

For example, if I use a user ID as the subscription ID and the user starts two instances of the application, will both subscriptions receive messages published or will the second one cancel out the first one and only one of them see the messages?

If the user exists both instances of the application then starts up another two instances using the same subscription ID, will both new instances see waiting messages since there had been two subscriptions previously? Or would only the first instance see the waiting messages?

a durable subscription is clientId + durable subsName, which should be unique for a durable subscription.

so if your client id is different, and you are using same subName(UserId in your case) for both clients, then the messages should be received by both the clients.
