When I start Tomcat 4.1.12 on my Linux machine, I receive the following output: Using CATALINA_BASE: /var/tomcat4 Using CATALINA_HOME: /var/tomcat4 Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /var/tomcat4/temp Using JAVA_HOME: /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_01 Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/tomcat/util/log/SystemLogHandler at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredConstructors0(Native Method) at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredConstructors(Class.java:1590) at java.lang.Class.getConstructor0(Class.java:1762) at java.lang.Class.newInstance0(Class.java:276) at java.lang.Class.newInstance(Class.java:259) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.main(Unknown Sou   More>>

When I start Tomcat 4.1.12 on my Linux machine, I receive the following output:

Using CATALINA_HOME: /var/tomcat4
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /var/tomcat4/temp
Using JAVA_HOME: /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.1_01

I've set JAVA_HOME to point to the directory where the J2SDK is installed (as you can see from the output). Do I need to set some sort of classpath?

Thank You,
