Hello,

I was wondering if you have an object that implements the serializable interface but as an instance variable you have an object that does not implement the serializable interface. Can you still pass the main object as a serializable object or you can't because of the fact you have an instance variable that points to a non-serializable object.

is there anyway around this?

Any input would be great

Thanks

You can implement your own readObject and writeObject methods in this Serializable object, where you can take care about those unserializable fields manually.
