Hi,

Does anyone know whether for instance projects created in JBuilder 7 are backwards compatible enabling it to be opened in JBuilder 4, and vice versa?

Regards,
CJ

Hi,

I'm afraid that the project file for a newer version of JBuilder isn't backward compatible, since they normally add configurations to the project structure.

In addition I would say that between JB4 and JB7 there is a huge technology gap that makes me think that the project file is too different to be backward compatible.

Maybe the structure of the project directory is basically the same, so you can import the JB7 project structure and generate a new project... but I don't know how many advantages have this approach.
