how do I retrieve mail from a mailserver and save the mail contents , including the (1 or more) attchments (attachments will be saved seperately as BLOB) to an oracle database.

What is your question? Are you just looking for a general introduction to using the JavaMail API? or using JDBC? Post your code that's not working, or be specific about what things you are stuck on. There are examples of doing all the individual parts of your process, in FAQ's and other forum threads.
