i need to call a cobol routine from a java program in AIX
the java program must be able to pass an array of string as arguments to the routine and should be able to get back this array as output from the routine after some manipulations. I have the cobol routine ready ,Can anyone tell me how to interface the 2 programs?

thanks in advance

I don't think that Java has a COBOL binding, yet. If you can find a library to allow C code to call COBOL, consider wrapping your COBOL code in a C interface. That way, you'll be doing Java->C->COBOL, which should work.

Good luck,
