why use entity bean

I'm working on a project.I used session bean retrieve database,Jsp call session bean and display in HTML.
I didn't use any entity bean.what's the benifit of entity bean,I don't think map each database table to an enetity bean is a good idea.but where should I use entity bean?

John,

There are many advantage of using Entity Beans, first of all the fact that among with the use of an Entity bean there is a full set of additional services thta are provided, like caching, transactions, security, and so on...

Maybe you should take a look at the jGuru EJB FAQ area and start reading some of the FAQs, since it seems you do not know the topic very much. In addition, they could also provide you some additional information and many reason that could help you change your view regarding the use of EJB.
