Is ist possible running a J2ME application in background? What I would like to do is: coding a small applet and it should check incomming SMS. If an SMS arrives from a predefiend number, the applet should create a window, where it shows the message. Finaly, the user reads the message and can send back an SMS with a yes or no in it. This answer should be created by clicking yes or no in a menu. And of course, the application should check all SMS all the time. Thats why ist should run in background? Possible or unreal? :) Thanks a lot for your help. Florian Schlums    More>>

Well, with MIDP 2.0 I'd say it's possible

You make your check-MIDlet not running in the background, but starting every, let's say, 10 seconds.

And if I am not wrong, you can get to SMS's with MIDP 2.

But, I may be wrong, so better check spec :)
