I tried to use MimeUtility.decode() but already had Exceptions like "No begin", "No end", "Too short buffer" etc. Is there some other way to get files from uuencoded mail from NNTP servers?

Nat Borenstein invented a new standard "Base64" encoding, instead of just using "uuencode", when he designed MIME, because there are variant versions of uuencode, as you've seen, so it is NOT a standard (indeed there is not even a single "it", as far as "uuencode" is concerned....)
