Is there a DTD out there that covers common xdoclet tasks (ejbdoclet, webdoclet, etc). Something of the sort would allow a good IDE to help in the creation of build files.

Obviously the DTD created by ant's antstructure task won't cover any taskdefs and the solution posted here still requires any ELEMENT to be defined, right?

I can put together element definitions for these elements but suspect this problem's already been solved.

Thanks.

Such a DTD does not exist, but it would be possible to generate one, based on the same technique that we use to generate task documentation and a plugin for Maven.

We have no plans to implement DTD generation, but if you do, you can let yourself inspire from the following code:

MavenpluginSubTask.java

MavenpluginTagsHandler.java

mavenplugin.xdt

AntdocSubTask.java

AntdocTagsHandler.java

antdoc-xdoc.xdt

If you want to discuss this further, please post to xdoclet-devel@lists.sourceforge.net

Cheers,

Aslak
