I have a java application that requires new functionality

When the user clicks on a button, a touch screen keyboard will apppears at the bottom of the application and the user can use this keyboard to input data.

Does anyone have any ideas how this can be done??

Please help!!!!

Yeah, layout a keyboard with buttons containing single letters (a GridBagLayout may facilitate this). Then, buy a touch-sensative screen and plug it in.

A touch sensitive screen will emulate mouse buttons when the user 'clicks' on the screen with their finger. You don't need to do anything special in java to utilise this feature.
