Hi, I have the following JDBC connection pooling setting in weblogic.properties: weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.oraclePool= url=jdbc:weblogic:oracle, driver=weblogic.jdbc.oci.Driver, loginDelaySecs=1, initialCapacity=4, maxCapacity=10, capacityIncrement=2, allowShrinking=true, shrinkPeriodMins=15, refreshMinutes=10, testTable=dual, user=SCOTT;password=tiger;server=npu25 Can someone tell me what's the meaning of the last second statement "testTable=dual"? Thanks for the help. -Harrison.    More>>

Hi,

I have the following JDBC connection pooling setting in weblogic.properties:

weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.oraclePool=
url=jdbc:weblogic:oracle,

driver=weblogic.jdbc.oci.Driver,

loginDelaySecs=1,

initialCapacity=4,

maxCapacity=10,

capacityIncrement=2,

allowShrinking=true,

shrinkPeriodMins=15,

refreshMinutes=10,

testTable=dual,

user=SCOTT;password=tiger;server=npu25

Can someone tell me what's the meaning of the last second statement "testTable=dual"? Thanks for the help.

Just guessing -- maybe it is so the driver can use a variable for the table name, in statements like 'select sysdate from dual', maybe when it needs to just test basic connectivity?
