Hi
I am trying configure Tomcat 4.1.1.2 and Apache 1.3.

Can I have Tomacat in one machine and Apache on Other machine ??

If so, which connector are supported for the above version combinations and which is the best choice, If I am going for a Clustering

Thanks in Advance

It depends on what you mean under clustering.

If a simple load balancing is enough for you (multiple tomcats behind one apache) then I would go for a mod_jk or mod_jk2 apache connectors for tomcat. They're easy to use and you can set load balancing bias for each tomcat instance or you can have each tomcat serving a different context., no matter if they're running on one or more computers.

It should also boost your performance, because apache is a lot faster in serving static content.

If I were you, I would consider using tomcat 4.1.10 and also trying apache 2.0.

Best regards,

Karel
