I'm trying to compare directories for content. A folder is deleted, then created by another, non-java process. Java recognizes that the folder has been deleted. It however, does not recognize that the folder has been recreated. Essentially I am saying File f = new File("some-directory"); f.exists() returns false, but the folder is there. This works perfect stand alone, when the files arent being deleted and copied. Is there anyway to force Java to relook at the file system so it know whats there?
