Can this even be done ? I'm able to code a JMS application which creates the environment (topic, session etc), but if I can't get this to start up first then it doesn't make much sense in doing this. I'm not even sure if I even make sense here....

Just wondering if anyone out there has a similar problem. If so i'd really like to hear how you go about resolving this issue.

Many thanks.

Lennard,

If I understand correctly what u are trying to do is
start up a JMS client and connect to a JMS server. You can do that without the app server or the JMS server on the same machine. What u need is the corresponding class files to be in the classpath. FOr example if you are connecting to the Weblogic JMS , then u need to have weblogic.jar in the classpath.

Hope it helps.
