I'm using the following jsp code to test euro currency. <%@ page import="java.text.NumberFormat" %> <% double value = 7.55; NumberFormat nf = NumberFormat.getCurrencyInstance(new Locale("fr","FR","EURO")); String formattedValue = nf.format(value); %> System.out.println("value: " + formattedValue); The output I'm getting for this is: value: 7,55 ¬ But should be... value: 7,55 € I'm running Windows 2000 Pro and using weblogic for my app server. The output I'm getting for this is:

value: 7,55 ¬


But should be... value: 7,55


I'm running Windows 2000 Pro and using weblogic for my app server. I have seen the correct output before, but not in an consistent manner. Any ideas out there?

try putting in this line it should work.
<%@ page contentType="text/html; charset=UTF-8" %>
