When JSP file is compiled it gives an exception.

org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP

Tomcat unable to find classes refered in the JSP. No problem
with version 4.04. The application is deployed in the
TOCAT_BASE directory and the tomcat is run as service. Is
there any workaround for this problem.

Could anyone answer me.

Are you shure you have installed a JSDK ? I had similar pb on a server where a JRE was installed.

Did you put your classes in
TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/yourProjectPath/WEB-INF/classes/
and your jsp files in TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/yourProjectPath ?

Does the jsp examples work ?
