Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the third installment about Ant-Man, has signed a new actress to play Cassie Lang, the daughter of Scott Lang / Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). Kathryn Newton will play this character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the new adventure of the superhero and his partner Hope Van Dyne / Wasp (Evangeline Lilly). Newton thus becomes the third person to play Cassie Lang. His younger version was played in Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp by Abby Ryder Fortson .. In Avengers: Endgame it was Emma Fuhrmann who brought her to life. After knowing the news, the latter has spoken about how she feels after learning that Marvel Studios has decided to replace her.

“I just wanted to appear here and tell you that I see all your nice messages. Thanks for all your support. It means the world to me. I was as sad as all of you when I heard the news on Thursday. I just hope that this means that there is something more for me in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ”Fuhrmann posted on his Twitter account. “I will always be grateful to have been a part of the MCU and the greatest movie of all time. Being an actress is still my number one passion and I am looking forward to what the future will bring, “she concludes.

Fuhrmann’s appearance in Avengers: Endgame was shortened to a few minutes, but it was key to demonstrating the five years that have passed since Thanos (Josh Brolin) snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War until Scott Lang managed to leave the Quantum Realm in the one who got locked in the post-credit scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will once again feature Peyton Reed as director. Michelle Pfeiffer and Michael Douglas will also return, respectively, as Janet Van Dyne and Hank Pym. Jonathan Majors, for his part, will play the villain Kang ‘The Conqueror’.
