What does the ServiceControlled interface do and how is it used?

Tim Rohaly

net.jini.lookup.entry.ServiceControlled defines no methods that need to be implemented, it is used simply to mark Entry objects as read-only to clients. That is, only the service itself is allowed to modify any attributes that implement the ServiceControlled interface.

To use this, simple declare your service's implementation of Entry as also implementing ServiceControlled. The administration interface for the service is responsible for enforcing the read-only policy.
