What is Jiro?

Govind Seshadri

Jiro technology is an implementation of the Federated Management Architecture specification. FMA is a standard for communication between applications, services and devices across a heterogeneous network. Jiro provides developers with the infrastructure to build interoperable and automated storage management solutions. As an extension to the Java™ platform, Jiro technology defines an operating system independent environment in which any developer or vendor can build and implement their resource management software.
