Where do I find the com.ms.security.* classes, so I can sign my code for use in IE?

John Zukowski

Microsoft's security classes are found with the other classes that come with the Microsoft VM. Where they are and what you need to add to your CLASSPATH depends upon what version of Windows you have. To see where the classes are, look in the registry to see what the CLASSPATH is for Internet Explorer, and add the necessary classes to your CLASSPATH from there. It is actually nice to keep a copy of Visual J++ around to sign your code for IE as it simplifies the whole process (and makes sure your program only uses things in the version of Java that MS supports).

For complete steps in signing your code, see How exactly do I create a signed CAB for use in Internet Explorer?

Be sure to run clspack -auto to package everything into one .zip file.
