Is it possible to get notified somehow if a certain amount of time elapses during (within) a transaction or method call? I want to react if e.g. an EJB-method doesn't react after a few seconds.
Nicholas Whitehead The EJB descriptor defined session timeout (sessionTimeout in the WebLogic descriptor) will cause the remote call to throw an exception if the operation runs over that time. This will cause the operation to be rolled back if it is running in a transaction, but the caller will be notified by the exception so you can react accordingly.
